Project Description
New Replacement Windows and Installation: 120 Windows
The Horizon School located in Livingston, New Jersey was originally built in the late 1940s. It was later expanded in the 1960s to accommodate more students. In 2019, both sections required a complete window makeover. We installed our white aluminum commercial grade windows with Low-E Glass and Argon Gas fill. Due to the requirement to preserve the building's original integrity, this project involved two types of installations. One installation required a regular replacement style window with the exterior aluminum capping and then a re-use of the existing interior trim. The second one, incorporated a wide flange/snap trim commercial style installation. In addition, we had to use decorative window grids to maintain the building's classic styling in both sections. It is also important to note that because Royal Prime's aluminum window products are extremely energy efficient, the Horizon School transitioned from two air conditioning units per classroom to one.
